It's back to school time..."yawn"

6:30am: had to wake up myself and the kids an hour and a half earlier than we got up yesterday...it's still dark out. I know this is what I said I wanted yesterday...but this is early.

Today is the first day back from Christmas break. It's been a good break, very intense but good. We attended lots of Christmas parties, shopped with gift cards, went on a vacation and played a lot of computer games, listened to many new CD's and made the house very, very messy! There is crap everywhere! I don't know where to start...so I'll start by going out this morning for a meeting and hoping the house fairy comes to put everything away. Isn't that how it works, if I close my eyes, cross my fingers and hope really hard everything will just "magically" go back to where it belongs?????

Reality is tough sometimes...but getting in the swing of things will be nice. Hope you all have a good day and that we all get a little "magic" in our day even if it consists of your rice cake "magically" tasting like a chocolate brownie! = )

I told myself last night that I was gonna get up an hour before the kids today so we didn't have the usual 'mad rush' to get out the door. Didn't happen. I was content to snuggle under the covers a little longer with that sweet husband of mine. Then reality hit and we had to rush to eat breakfast, find the boots and mittens (we finally got a little snow!), and get out the door. Maybe tomorrow??? :)
Oh, and I've come to the realization that there is NO house fairy...I've been wishing for her arrival for what seems like forever, and there's STILL crap everywhere here too! :)

We actually did OK today. Caroline's school moved start time up 25 minutes to 7:50 am. Last week I was still in bed at 9! But we all got out the door and off with minimal scrambling. Mommy didn't get a shower but . . .

Oh, man! I read this too late! I actually had the laundry fairy stop by my house one day! It was quite a surprise and very pleasant. Hope Doug staightened out a little bit while you were at your meeting. Back to school routine... I like it, but I'm a little bored this afternoon. I miss the noise. Okay, I'm weird, I know.
